How to create linked shifts

Shifts123 supports linking shifts together so that they can be assigned to the same person.  This allows you to let the same person fill certain roles, or positions during the day.   Situations where linked shifts might make sense are:

  • A server works a split-shift at your restaurant works from 11am until 2pm and then is back from 5pm until close
  • A clerk at your store has defined break times 8am until 10:15am and 10:30am to 12:45pm and 1:15pm until 3:30pm
  • An employee works from 6am to 2:30pm and during that time will fill several positions, or roles.  From 6am to 9am they are the Supervisor, then from 9am to 11am they will teach swimming lessons, from 11am to noon take a lunch break, and then at noon come back and work as a lifeguard until 2:30pm

You can also link more then two shifts together and create a shift like this:

Each shift can also be have individual notes, or be associated with separate projects.
